The Uttar Pradesh government has set up an ‘ambitious’ target of completing the 165-km Yamuna Expressway by September 30 to keep date with the 2010 Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi from October 3 to 14.....more Yamuna Expressway Authority has alloted land for 4 universities and 10 engineering, techincal and management colleges . Many brand educational institutes have applied for the land says a report.
Yamuna Expressway Authority extends date for deposit of installment.... Yamuna Expressway Authority has extended the date of deposit of first instalment to 3rd January in case of 1000, 2000 and 40000 sqm plots of sector 18 and 20. This had been done as YEA is considering the change in its transfer policy. The date of 300-500 is same that is 19th January 2010. Noida - Greater Noida, Yamuna Expressway gets new Chairman Shri Mohinder Singh, Noida CEO appointed as Chairman of Noida, Greater Noida and Chairman and CEO of Yamuna Expressway Authority. Shri Lalit Srivastava Chairman retired from the service on 31st December, 2009.

Change in Transfer Policy? A report says that Yamuna Expresway Authority is considering a proposal to change the transfer policy it would allow its allottes to transfer the property on payment of transfer charges of 2.5%. As per existing rules transfer is allowed only after possestion and registry i.e. after 4 years. Otherwise allottes were resorting to general power of attorney / patta-prakekh for sales of plots. Report says that Stamp & Registration department has objected to this change in Policy as under the transfer & welath act transfer can be done only after registration besides it would lead to huge revenue loss to the government. YEA it is learnt that has decided to seek legal opinion.
High Court tells govt: Go ahead with Yamuna Expressway project In a reprieve to the Mayawati government, the Allahabad High Court upheld the validity of the land acquisition notification for the construction of Yamuna Expressway. ..The notification was issued on October 15, 2007 under the Land Acquisition Act. ..The Court asked the state government and the Jaypee Group of Industries to go ahead with the project and complete it before the Commonwealth Games.

The Yamuna Expressway, work on which is in full swing, is expected to drastically reduce the travel time between the national capital and Agra. Though land has been acquired for the expressway itself, acquisition of an additional 2,500 hectare to build land parcels alongside the expressway has been facing opposition from villagers.

Yamuna Expressway Authority Residential Plot Draw held.... Yamuna Expresswaay Residential Plot Scheme Draw on 17th November 2009 from 10.00 am onwards at India Expo Mart & Centre, Main Hall, Greater Noida. There are about 19325 plots and 40,000 applicants. WIPRO had been assigned the task of conducting the draw through the computer. After the draw printout of applicants number and plot was displayed on the screens and were also pasted at the draw site to check the numbers by the applicants.
