"Noida Board has approved the 2010-11 budget. Total projected receipts are Rs 5330 crores and expenditure of Rs 5103 crores. It covers major development projects. Board gave approval for 10 per cent hike in land rates. For last two years there was no rate hike," Chairman Mohinder Singh said. Noida Stadium upgradation was approved by the Board.Land compensation has been hiked by 10 percent. Greater Noida Board has Approved the budget of Rs 6072 crore, Rs 700 crore would be spent on two govt intercolleges, hospital and hostels, Rs 300 crore on Gautam Budha University, Urban services Rs 37 crore and 13 crore on health. |

| Jaypee Infratech, which is planning to raise Rs 1,650 crore through an IPO, will complete its flagship project, the 165-Km Yamuna Expressway by 2011, about two years ahead of the scheduled time, said the Jaypee group founder chairman Jaiprakash Gaur. The six-lane expressway, connecting Greater Noida in NCR and Agra, is being developed at a cost of Rs 9,739 crore. The company has so far invested Rs 6,250 crore. |

Water that is unfit to drink, wash clothes and utensils and damages bathroom and kitchen fittings will continue to flow out of Noida's taps for at least three more years. The installation of a new pipeline that will ensure the whole of Noida gets Ganga water, replacing the hard and chemical-laced Yamuna water that flows out of taps now, is not going to be completed before 2012. The Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) plans to set up a 1,000 MW gas-based power project in Greater Noida.
The state only stands to gain from the project as it will have no financial participation in the project and will also get 50 per cent of the total power generated by the plant. Greater Noida signs Memorandum with Delhi-Mumbai- Industrial Corridor Development Corporataion....January 5, 2010 The Uttar Pradesh government has identified four out of the 11 early bird projects which will fall within the 1,438 km-long Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor sub-region of the state. The four projects that will be put on the fast track are the development of Boraki railway station near Dadri as per international standards, setting up of a power plant in Greater Noida, development of a multi-level logistic park and also an international airport at Jewar, in Greater Noida. The Centre has also given its stamp of approval for granting priority to these four projects.The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA), the designated state level nodal agency of the state government, has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (DMICDC) in this respect last week. Senior Superintendent of Police A K Singh, launched the Police Control Room Vans from Sector 14A police control room on Thursday.A fleet of 39 PCR vans was flagged off by the SSP, who felt this will reduce the response time.
