Brief: Veerendra K Jaitly

VK Jaitly is an exceptional speaker and is known for his motivational and leadership skills. As a proficient speaker he is apt at conducting training programs that inspire professionals. He is the Founder of C_cube Consultants that has helped professionals at improving their leadership, communication, and business skills. As President of AstroWix, a pioneer in the field of Project Management, he created a network of Project Management professional through a monthly PM Insight lecture series. He was also the Chief Editor of “PM Xpressions” a monthly on Project Management.

Jaitly has been also actively involved with the Customer Value Management concept and has conducted workshops on “Customer holds the key to the success for any business”. He is the architect of ‘Business Excellence Program’ for corporate that has modules like Business Etiquettes, Business Communications, Leadership, Team Building etc leading to  Personal/Professional Productivity. He had been a mentor for entrepreneurs at a session organized by TiE and PanIIT. He has been instrumental in the creation of PanIIT India as its Founder Board Member. He is the Chairman Logistics, Operations and Entertainment Committee of PanIIT2010, a global meet to be held at Delhi end Oct. He has a passion for environment protection and an ardent advocate for clean energy, green energy. He is the Vice President of IITians for Holy Ganga, an organization that strives to restore the beauty, purity and perennial flow of Holy Ganga. He is the co-founding Ambassador for www.invvest.org involved in scaling of SEI: Sustainable Energy Initiatives that embraces long term inclusive growth for India to emerge as a global leader in the foreseeable future.

Jaitly did his M.Tech in Sat Comm and B.Tech (Honrs) in E&ECE both from IIT Kharagpur and he worked extensively in the area of Web Marketing for his MBA project. Thereafter, he had an illustrious career of 22 years+ in the Indian Navy when he sought premature retirement as a Commander. He was the commissioning crew of INS Viraat and became actively involved in Computerization and Networking in the Navy with the installation of First LAN onboard Indian Aircraft carrier, INS Viraat way back in 1987.

He developed multi media technology for the first time in India and produced about 100 training modules in 1989-92 for the use of Indian Navy. He produced a few video documentaries while in the Navy. He got the best instructor award as a young Lieutenant at the premier training establishment INS Valsura. He was on the editorial board for some of the technical journals of the Indian Navy. He proved his leadership as the Founder Dean of Jaypee University of Information Technology, Distt Solan and put it on a strong footing.

He was Govt and Defence Consultant–India and SAARC region of Cisco Systems and was responsible for creating awareness about SWANs (State Wide Area Networks) and Network Centric Warfare (NCW) in Indian Defence Forces. He wrote a number of articles and gave presentations in the three services related to NCW. He made a blue print and made a good number of presentations to Govt of Delhi for making it fully Wi-Fi/WiMax enabled with a pilot project for Connaught place. He initiated the process of setting up of Centers of Excellence for training on SWANs using WiFi/WiMax/VSATs/Fibre for connectivity for e-governance in all the Indian states. He played a key role in the formation of Govt and Defence vertical of Cisco India and was an invited delegate/speaker for some of the national/global conferences on e-governance.

Jaitly has a number of articles to his credit and has delivered lectures/ presentations at National and International Seminars from the forums like CII, FICCI, ASSOCHAM, AMCHAM, C-DAC, Common Wealth Countries Forum for e-Gov, CSI, CSIR, Cyber Media, Technical/ Management institutes including IITs and Defence Officers’ Conferences on diverse topics. He was invited to China at Nanjing University and a few others to deliver lectures. He is a sought after speaker on key occasions at numerous colleges. He has given interviews on Radio, TV and Internet.

Jaitly has traveled to US, UK, China, Australia, Italy, Egypt, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Maldives and thus has a global exposure and understanding, He had been the Leader for an All India Motor Cycle Rally and was Oi/C for a Car Rally. He loves to trek, plays Golf and devotes some of his energies for promoting education in the tribal areas.
