According to his views:

if there is one thing they say about Gautam Budh Nagar, it is that the district really prospers only under the BSP’s guard. This is not just a saying. Evidence actually makes it a fact.

If you plot the development graph of the district, and indeed its sub-cities of NOIDA and GREATER NOIDA, the peaks when the BSP takes charge and dips every other time are all too apparent.

From the first time the very thought of an International Airport at Jewar was floated to the Metro connectivity that is today a reality all have only really been a vision driven by one person and one party. Flyovers, underpasses, clean fuel reaching the district, policies that address the otherwise unheard voices of the farmers; this is evidence of what progress should be.

A gap, however, still persists. Unless the chain of authority isn’t consistent, from the top to bottom, there will always be breakdowns. Unless one ideology, one mission of progress and a single intention to develop our district does not stay constant in the State Assembly at Lucknow and the Parliament at Delhi, there will always be room for excuses and missed opportunities

Our opportunity for change is now. Our opportunity to leave no room for policies not translating into action is now. Our opportunity to hold one party accountable for the fortunes of our district is now. This opportunity rests with Surender Nagar.

When an astute professional business owner takes reins of public administration, change is certain. Problems and issues are approached in a manner a professional business does. Solutions are arrived at quickly and implemented quickly. In public administration, much like in Business, the cost of delay, lethargy and half-hearted measures is unacceptably high.

Joint Managing Director for a large dairy venture in India, present at six locations in various states managing milk volumes to the tune of 1 to 1.5 million per day, multiple products catering to domestic & international Markets – Surender Nagar’s acumen is beyond question.

Known to inspire and take along his workforce in every corporate decision, Mr. Nagar is widely called the ‘people’s person’. An operation of this scale cannot take-off and be successful without the top man’s ability to create and drive a vision. Thinking for 5 years ahead, planning resources to meet those goals and ensuring accountability in implementation are basic tenets of a successful business venture.

At the same time, a business is driven by people. Unless people have a shared vision, unless they are a part of the decision making process and until their prosperity and welfare is not the central concern, a business will fall apart. These are skills that are perhaps missing from our district’s administrators. These are the skills that are needed today, more than ever, to ensure we do not miss this great opportunity to realize our destiny.

A man open to new ideas is what is needed. A man ready to accept challenges is today’s call. Most importantly, a man who holds accountability supreme is the only person who can radically change the future of a city and her people.

But that’s just business.

The most important job you have the power to award a person with must need more than that. It must go to a person who has experience in administering policy. A person with impeccable record on social contributions to the community. Most importantly, he must be a person of unquestionable honour and ethics; after all; he gets to represent all of us in the Parliament.

From the position of Mahamantri of the Zila Committee of Bulandshahar and an active role at the grassroots to serving as the elected MLC during two separate terms, Shri Nagar brings experience. Getting Government sanction of as much as Rs. 50 crores for various development projects and schemes is one of several accomplishments of his career as a public administrator.

A Gurjar leader by background, with immense respect within the Gurjar community, he is also an ardent believer in the welfare of all, irrespective of caste and religion. These are virtues that an administrator of a district as progressive as Gautam Budh Nagar needs – the ability to take all with him with a shared vision and a single-minded agenda for development

Now that’s just experience. What of the future? Does our leader have a vision for what needs to happen in our district?

The mantra today is development. But this time, it cannot just be a slogan. When an electorate is wiser than most give them credit for, just a slogan will not do. What is your specific agenda? What will you do, if we bring you to power?

The Metro needs to go further. Connect the people of this district and give them a modern, air-conditioned, efficient and cost effective means to commute.

The Airport has to become a reality. And that needs a voice in the parliament to make it happen. The Airport will be a huge trigger to development and prosperity that it will bring along. More shops, more markets, more income for local businesses, more job opportunities for the people of the district and most importantly, the district getting placed firmly on the global map.

NOIDA/GREATER NOIDA needs more flyovers and underpasses. Our healthcare infrastructure is poor, largely due to local policies that stifle it. That needs to change. We need sports infrastructure, a sports training institute that will hone local talent. More colleges need to be opened. Why should our people travel to Delhi and beyond for quality education?

Our villages need pucca roads. This is already underway, thanks largely to the State Government’s unique program to convert all village roads to concrete roads. This has to be completed by the next year.

Gautam Budh Nagar cannot prosper without the prosperity of its farmers and citizens in rural areas. Without their blessings, development can neither take place nor is it the right kind of development. The Yamuna Expressway has already brought in prosperity – land prices have skyrocketed and farmers can today get that much more for their precious land. It is imperative that our policy on land acquisition does not face local hurdles – no one must be allowed to stand between what the farmers are eligible to get and their getting it.

The next 5 years are crucial for this district. Without a doubt, the NOIDA/GREATER NOIDA you see today will be far different from what you will see 5 years on. Much would have changed – how the district looks, the quality of life its people lead, what employment opportunities exist, what business comes and invests here – this and much more.

The question is, will you like what you see 5 years later? The answer lies in making the right choice today.
